The Frantic Dash
Every second of the drive was an eternity. Zara hunched over, clutching her stomach and crying out with every bump in the road. Omar fought to maintain his composure, but panic was seizing him internally.
Upon their arrival, the emergency department was chaotic and packed. The admissions clerk coolly stated, “The wait time is currently three to five hours.”

Zara barely had the strength to speak. Her system was rapidly failing. “Please,” she pleaded weakly, “I truly cannot wait that long.”
It was then a compassionate resident physician noticed her near-collapse and urgently pulled her back into an examination room. What they witnessed moments later on the ultrasound screen plunged the normally bustling area into silence.
The Stunning Revelation
The doctor stared intently at the monitor, his hands visibly unsteady. “This… this is simply illogical,” he murmured in disbelief.
Zara squeezed Omar’s hand tight. “What is it? Is it a mass? Am I facing the worst?”
But the reality was far more astonishing. The high-resolution scan clearly showed an object within her uterus – something very much alive. It was not residual tissue. It was not a malignant growth. It was a strong, rhythmic fetal heartbeat.

The doctor turned, his face drained of color. “Zara… you are still pregnant.”
