Ronnie passed away in 2020 at the age of 75. Despite Covid restrictions, his funeral was overflowing with tributes. Later, a new £1.6 million community center at Glenwood Church was named Lockwood House in his honor.

When the project faced a funding gap during construction, the solution appeared from an unexpected place. Ronnie had left his entire savings to the church in his will. “It was almost to the penny the exact amount needed,” Rob says. “In the end, the man who was once homeless provided a roof for all of us.”

“People ask how we did it for 45 years,” Diane reflects. “But honestly, we just took it day by day. Ronnie didn’t just live with us; he enriched our lives in ways we never expected.”
